BBA - MMS

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Masters in Management Studies (MMS) is a unique program which provides opportunity to the students to pursue MMS Program after completion of their BBA Program. In today’s highly competitive world, students and parents are stressed about securing admission into a good quality management institute. The 5 years BBA-MMS Program provides an opportunity to studious and ambitious students having good marks / grades in class 12 to directly take admission into NMIMS School of Commerce one of the most prestigious schools in the country.

On the basis of 3.0 and above Cumulative Grade Points (CGPA) at the end of 2nd year, the best 120 students who meet the eligibility criteria will be offered admissions to enroll for the MMS Program from 3rd year of the BBA program. However, the students will retain the option to exit from the program after successful completion of the BBA Program after the 3rd year.

Students qualifying for BBA-MMS Program may have the opportunity to study abroad for a term.

Program Duration :

The program is of 5 years with an exit option after successful completion of BBA after 3 years. The best 120 students taking admission to BBA Program will be given an opportunity to take admission to the MMS Program after the completion of the 2 years of BBA Program, provided their CGPA at the end of the second year is 3.0.

Selection :

Selection for the program is based on merit in NPAT 2017, which is an entrance test conducted by NMIMS.

Eligibility :

The Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam including International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Certificate awarded not eligible) in any stream from a recognized Board at first attempt. AND

a) Must have obtained a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at 10+2 or equivalent examination for being eligible to B.B.A.

b) Candidate’s passing in Mathematics/ Statistics at 10+2 or equivalent exam is compulsory for being eligible to B.B.A.

c) Candidate with IB Diploma applying for B.B.A. program is eligible only if the candidate has offered & passed in Mathematics/ Statistics at standard level.

d) Candidates of CBSE, ICSE, should mention in online registration form their 10th or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects for which candidate has appeared for (not best of four, five, six, seven).

e) Candidates above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply.

f) Note (for IB & Cambridge Candidate): Candidates called for admission on the basis of NPAT 2017 merit list & who do not have final mark sheet will be given “Provisional Admission” based on predicted scores. Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed on submission of final mark sheet before the commencement of the program if found eligible.

f) Note (for IB & Cambridge Candidate): Candidates called for admission on the basis of NPAT 2017 merit list & who do not have final mark sheet will be given “Provisional Admission” based on predicted scores. Fees will be accepted from such candidate but their admission will be confirmed on submission of final mark sheet before the commencement of the program if found eligible.

g) Candidates passing 10+2 or equivalent examination from Open or Distance learning (ODL) School recognized only by National Institute of Open schooling (NIOS) can apply for the program subject to fulfillment of the eligibility criteria for the program & candidates who have passed the10+2 examination by doing a part-time course or through distance learning / correspondence / externally / open school other than NIOS are not eligible to apply for the courses.

h) Only single mark sheet with all subjects taken in first attempt is mandatory, no compartmentalized mark sheet is considered.

i) The candidate who has NOT cleared the 10+2 or equivalent examination in the first attempt is NOT eligible to apply for the course.

Candidates with a minimum of CGPA 3.0 after 2 years will be eligible for this program.
Admission will be offered to top 120 students from the BBA program for this program.

Core Courses :

Through these courses students will gain rigorous and analytical understanding of techniques and framework of general management. The students will study courses in Accounting, Economics, Financial Management, Marketing, Leadership and Organization, Management Analysis System, Quantitative etc.

Electives :

To broaden once understanding of business world, a diverse range of electives will be offered to students to choose. The electives offered provide opportunity to students to customize their degree and build the foundation for future career. Electives will be offered in various functional areas like Finance, Marketing Human Resource Management, etc.

Internship :

MMS Program students are required to complete successfully Summer Internship. It is a field based internship which provides students with experience in corporate and in industry.

Language :

During the MMS Program students will have the opportunity to study foreign languages. Speaking language of another country is important route to be successful in today’s global business environment. Learning foreign language helps to develop new perception and global insight.
